Some new rolling stock underway!
Well winter is here! It's now time to get back downstairs working on not only the layout and the room, but various models for the layout as well. Right now I've begun work on 2 - PCF 50' double door boxcars that are a fiction based. They will be painted and lettered up for Mass Coastal Railroad. The prototype does not own any boxcars to date, but it's an interesting and fun little project. The "idea" is that these cars will represent used cars bought from another railroad that have been refurbished in house at the Hyannis shops. The look I'm going for is that of 2 well used cars in fair shape, that like I said ...

Not much has happened over the busy summer. However now that fall is here and winter coming fast, I'll be diving deep into the railroad again. Please check back for more updates soon!

First Weathering Attempt...
In the Rolling Stock section, I've posted some pictures of my first attempt at weathering of a Boston & Maine Guilford Rail System box car. Not the best, but not the worst I've seen... You be the judge! There are some more pictures displayed in the discussion forum under the model rolling stock topic.
